Requirements of the Course

Here is what is needed to successfully complete this course:

This is an introduction to the wonder of flight and offers a basic insight into the engineering of aircraft.

The content is intended to enrich the school’s Pre-Engineering trac and will cover some basic theory of flight and aircraft control and stability.
Students will be given some tools for approaching design problems and will apply them to a model each will design, build, and fly. The better the model looks from an engineering point of view and the better it flies, the better the grade.
Each student will write a design paper regarding his or her model using the theory presented in the course. This paper will be shared with the class.
All work will be graded.
